Shipping destinations:

• We ship both locally and throughout the United States.

Shipping times:

• Your first shipment will be shipped on the following Monday or Tuesday after ordering.
• Shipping time might vary depending on location, shipment method and other factors.

Shipping cost:

• California subscription boxes ship free. Western United States subscription boxes ship at a reduced flat rate. Single Box Orders will be charged calculated UPS ground rates. 
• Eastern United States orders will ship UPS 2-day at cost.

All packages shipped under dry ice to ensure product safety and quality upon arrival.

Your beef is shipped in a bio-degradable insulator with dry ice to ensure product quality and safety.

Upon arrival, your beef can either be transferred into a refrigerator for immediate thawing or into a freezer for long term storage.

Your beef is generally safe to stay in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Frozen beef can theoretically be safe to consume indefinitely, although depending on freezer settings, its taste and quality can deteriorate over time. Personally, our family has stored beef for up to 2 years at a time with no impact on quality, but every freezer is different!

If your beef arrives and is no longer fully frozen, it is still safe to consume or refreeze as long as it is still cool to the touch. If it is warm, contact customer service and discard.

sustainiBeef makes every effort to limit the environmental impact of our shipments:

• We utilize patented recyclable, bio-degradable, and compostable insulation instead of Styrofoam. This keeps your shipment frozen, and keeps packaging out of our landfills!
• Our shipping tape is 100% plant-derived and biodegradable.
• Our boxes are 100% recyclable and engineered with recyclable components.
• Our Kraft paper-filler is 100% recycled.

Your 100% satisfaction is important for us. We offer a 30-days Refund Policy:

• If a product gets damaged or was faulty upon a delivery - we offer 100% refund.
• Timing: we have a 30-days Refund Policy, since the day item was received.
• To be eligible for a refund, condition of goods must be documented and a prompt and thorough explanation provided to customer service.
• For returns, please email info@sustainibeef.com with the subject 'Returns' and include your order number, name and the reason for the return.
• Customer will receive a confirmation email, notifying about the status of the refund.
• If the refund is approved, then it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after.

Freezer Beef:

• Refunds of deposit will only be granted if error or failure to deliver on sustainiBeef's part occurs
• Failure to pay balance due when invoiced will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
• Every effort will be made to ensure customer satisfaction in the event that the customer is dissatisfied with their purchase, refunds, etc. will be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of sustainiBeef.
• sustainiBeef is not responsible in the event of issues with the delivered freezer.

sustainiBeef's Angus-cross steers are humanely ranch-raised on our family farm in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Our steers are fed with the consumer in mind, and are managed for well-marbled, tender steaks. They reach their harvest weight of 1400 lbs by 16-18 months, and are harvested locally.

Steaks make up approximately 30% of the steer. Our sustainiBox and Freezer Beef offerings both will reflect that.

Depending on the product line and butcher method, that 30% will be can be up of Boneless Rib-eyes, Bone-In (Cowboy Cut) Rib-eyes, New York Strips, Filet Mignon, Top Sirloins, Sirloin Tips, T-Bones, Flank Steak, Skirt Steak, and Carne Asada Cuts.

Beef is what we're good at, so it was a logical starting point for us.
